Details: The mission of Upward Bound Senior Villa is to provide affordable rental housing with links to services for low-income senior citizens by providing safe and comfortable facilities, a productive intergenerational community, and the resources essential to lead enriched, empowered and independent lives. Senior Villa provides affordable housing to approximately 90 elderly residents and a network of services to help the residents live independently, with dignity, for as long as possible. Case management includes connections to transportation, food, medical care, and other assistance for the disabled and frail. Senior Villa residents, all of whom are carefully screened for income eligibility, pay one third of their monthly income for their one-bedroom apartments; the rest of their rent is subsidized. Senior Villa is a HUD-202 Prac project and is monitored by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
