Details: Located at the edge of Willow Glen in south San Jose, Hilltop Manor is affordable housing for low-income senior citizens, 62 and up. The apartments are nestled high on a hill surrounded by breathtaking views of beautiful Santa Clara Valley. Each of the 148 units opens to peaceful garden courtyards which offer walking paths, picnic tables, and outdoor space for each resident to enjoy. Hilltop Manor is located near the Curtner Light Rail Station; and The Plant shopping center, downtown Willow Glen, Safeway, numerous restaurants, and several churches are within a two-mile radius. The facility includes coin-operated laundry rooms in each building, library/game room, vending machines, dining room, and plenty of parking for residents and visitors. There is also a resident-operated Gift Shop where you may purchase knick-knacks, household items and decor, jewelry, CD’s/DVD’s, personal necessities, and more. Rental rates include a hot lunch (Monday-Friday) and utilities (PG&E, water, garbage service). Hilltop Manor emphasizes community living; and holiday parties, Bingo, Bible Study, movie nights, and other activities are regularly planned. Residents are also encouraged to participate in the monthly Community Council. NOTES: independently owned and operated apartments, on-site staff, minimum monthly income requirement of $1,400, night and weekend security, non-smoking facility, pets allowed (one small pet per household). Potential residents are encouraged to stop by the Administration Office and pick up a brochure packet which includes an application to be placed on the Waiting List.

Comment from Bob Jones on 2017-07-24 04:28:45: management wont fix squeeky floors. There are bed bugs, rats mice. Rent is raised yearly. If you move in in January your rent will go up in July. Must pay for lunch served daily (not good tasting or good for you) even if you dont eat it and are not on campus. Must pay more to take it out
