    BACKGROUND Maple City Apartments are owned and operated by ECUMENICAL ENTERPRISES, INC. (EEI), a non-profit corporation sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Wilkes-Barre, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton, the Jewish Federation of Greater Wilkes-Barre, and the Metropolitan Lutheran council of Wyoming Valley. Maple City Apartments are supported by Sections 202 and 8 of the National Housing Act, which provide reduced rentals to elderly of low extremely low and very low incomes. The complex contains 40 one-bedroom apartments. LOCATION Situated near downtown Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, these apartments provide an ideal urban residence with a serene environment, yet near to shopping areas, churches, public transportation and community facilities.
