Details: Lutheran Towers is a 93 unit affordable housing community serving limited income senior citizens age 62 and older, as well as the mobility impaired. Lutheran Towers is owned by Our `Savior’s Lutheran Development Corporation, a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable entity registered in the State of California, Rents are subsidized by the federal government through the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Section 8 / 202 Program. Persons eligible for subsidy will pay no more than 30% of their adjusted gross annual income for rent. Upon income verification, background check and credit history check, applicants will be placed on the waiting list, provided they have been determined to be eligible for residency. Specific eligibility requirements are provided in the resident selection plan. Lutheran Towers aims to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for its residents. CARING Housing Ministries is the management agent, and takes pride in this community and in its selection of staff. Lutheran Towers features one-bedroom apartments to accommodate households ranging from one to three persons. Each apartment comes cable television ready, and is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, carpeting, and either a patio or balcony area. Laundry facilities with coin-operated washers and dryers are provided, and a spacious community room is available for socializing and other resident activities. Residents may own a small pet. Assigned under-ground parking, when available, is also provided, as well as un-gated outside parking. An Attentive office staff is available during office hours to answer questions, and a fulltime maintenance staff can perform repairs. After hours staff is on-site in the evenings and on weekends. A full-time resident services coordinator is on staff to assist residents in such areas as scheduling of medical appointments, arranging transportation, answering questions related to Medicare & Medi-Cal and obtaining services to support other activities of daily living. Residents may sign up for the Meals-on-Wheels of Long Beach program, will deliver a daily meal to residents Monday through Friday for a nominal cost.

Details: Providence Gardens is a 13 story building with 200 apartments, 16 on each floor with 8 apartments on the ground floor. We are located at the corner of 10th St. and Pine Ave. in the heart of downtown Long Beach. A Bus stop location is next to the building on 10th St. We have two (2) elevators to transport the residents to each floor as well as a community room with a TV and a multipurpose room for meetings with mini exercise machines available. We also provide a staff for maintenance, custodial, and office responsiblilities. All our apartments are approximately 525 sq. ft. and are all (1) bedroom. Each apartment has a balcony the length of the living room and bedroom, one of the longest balconies in Long Beach. Each apartment comes with a stove and refrigerator. It has granite counter tops and wood cabinets. It also contains a garbage disposal. Each apartment bathroom is a combo bath/shower with multiple hand rails to help keep you balanced. It too has a wood cabinet with granite counter top. All utilities are included with the rent, except Direct TV and phone service. All apartments are prewired for cable.
