Details: El 6 de diciembre de 1994 se organizó la corporación Égida Primera Iglesia Bautista de Carolina, Inc. Esta corporación se estableció al converger la visión del Rev. Daniel Luis Flores con el sueño de la Iglesia, la cual por mas de treinta (30) años anhelaba unas viviendas para envejecientes. Cuando solicitó por la Agencia Federal que se le diera nombre a la Égida, el comité decidió llamarla Égida Daniel Luis Flores por entender que el Rev. Flores, Pastor General de la Iglesia, fue la persona que inicio el Proyecto y por haber estado al frente hasta su final realización. El 30 de julio de 2000 fue la inauguración de la Égida, construida con fondos del Departamento de Vivienda Federal y el desarrollo Urbano(HUD). El edificio esta ubicado al lado del Templo de la Primera Iglesia Bautista de Carolina y consiste de 40 apartamentos. La Égida Daniel Luis Flores es un proyecto para envejecientes e incapacitados de 62 años en adelante. Edificio: 9 pisos con 5 apartamentos por piso; Oficina de Administración; Almacén de trabajo "Handyman"; Laundry (2 lavadoras y 2 secadoras); Salón de Actividades; Planta de Emergencia; Bomba de agua; Cisterna; Recogido de basura (3 veces en semana); Master Antenna; Servicio de fumigación mensual; Cámaras de seguridad; Guardia de Seguridad; Elevador. Apartamentos: Nevera; Estufa; Cocina; Sala-Comedor; Closet; Cuarto con Closet; Baño equipado con barras de seguridad; Detector de humo; Interruptor de emergencia en baño y cuarto.
