Details: Kings Valley Senior Apartments is in the town of Cloverdale in Sonoma County. The quiet country-like setting includes landscaped grounds, and a walking path. There is a community center with a large meeting room, a library and an exercise room. Social functions, weekly movie nights and slow walk exercise program are offered for all residents. The Cloverdale Senior Center is nearby, and a daily bus comes through King's Valley to take residents to doctor appointments, grocery stores and other destinations. Small dogs and cats are welcome. Comment from Nemo on 2020-03-30 15:48:59: I've lived here for over 1 year and only continue to do so because homelessness is my only real option--subsidized housing for seniors appears to be the same virtually anywhere one goes--they get mostly societies dregs/riff raff. This is a dystopian community in a pristine setting--perfect apart from the people. The management has proven to be either inept or corrupt, reneging on their word, making arbitrary decisions that contradict their own rules etc.It's been one disappointment after another. Virtually everyone who has been here more than 6 months wants to leave, but is faced with the same dilemma--where to go that's affordable. If one appeals to EAH for help they soon find that the whole corporation is rotten from the top to the bottom. I could write a book with the horror stories I've heard from ones who have been here for years--they tell me how much worse it's been and how fortunate I am! If homelessness is your only other option I'd recommend it as one small step above suicide!
