Details: Our 34 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom apartments were designed and built especially for people on fixed incomes living with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities. Providence House is the largest single provider of housing for adults living with HIV/AIDS in Alameda County and is closely aligned with the network of agencies and organizations providing services to those individuals. Founded in 1991, Providence House is a well-designed, beautifully maintained, supportive housing program founded by the Sisters of Providence and owned and managed by Providence Health & Services. We place a high value on supporting individual residents and creating a thriving community. We offer a high staff-to-resident ratio, gathering spaces for resident groups and a wide variety of scheduled activities. Our on-site Service Coordinator helps residents identify and access local resources and services and can advocate for residents who need assistance. We remain informed and current in the changing environment of HIV/AIDS and are responsive to the changing needs of those individuals.
