Details: St. Johns Plaza is a gated modern three-story non-smoking apartment building nestled in a garden setting which was developed through a HUD Section 202 loan and provides housing to qualified low income seniors 62 years of age and older. The community contains 99 apartments (24 Studios and 75 One-bedroom) each with a living room, bathroom with grab bars, kitchen and private balcony. The first floor contains the building offices, a spacious lobby and a large recreation room. The property offers one full-time on-site service coordinator that organizes social activities, arranges for transportation to various appointments, serves as a resident advocate and provides case management. Parking is limited and there is a waiting list for parking spaces. St. Johns Plaza was made possible by the non-profit sponsorship of the Diocese of San Diego and is owned by Calexico Plaza Development Corporation, a Non-Profit 501c(3) Corporation
