Comment from JoannHope on 2022-04-12 12:03:27: The Manager of Cortview Village attempted to prevent me from finding a ride to the Cortland Food Pantry! I don't have a driver's license, so I have to rely on others. For personal reasons I decided that I didn't want my mom to take me anymore. I remembered that the Manager, before I moved in, told us that a few of the residents help those who don't drive. I talked to the Manager to ask for the name of the resident so I could ask them if they would be willing to drive me to the Food Pantry then back to my apartment. She refused, and she forbade me from asking around for this person's name!! When I mentioned that I could hire an Uber she tried to talk me out of doing that too! She told me to walk because the Food Pantry in Cortland is within walking distance. I told her "Yes it's within walking distance but they give more food than fits in my small cart and I wouldn't be able to walk it back to my apartment."
