Latest Reviews, Comments, Questions for BARTON TOWERS CO-OP

Comment from justus on 2016-04-30 00:36:38: This review is so old all who lived at Barton Towers then are long dead. On the surface it is a beautiful building but since Mr.Wood left CSI the building has gone downhill in management which if it wanted to could prevent the senior on senior emotional abuse which pervades the building and has contributed to more than a few premature deaths. The key word is not what you did wrong but who you are that determines if you are allowed to stay. The have a board elected from the tenants that have the power to recommend eviction and they have used it, however most who are targeted sicken and die, or if they are lucky move. No one seems to care about their neighbor and the name coop is a hoax. The key words in Barton Tower is "fear of eviction" which can happen it you do not pass inspections which are too numerous and increasingly intrusive. You can buy immunity by becoming a volunteer, but if you are blind and have a seeing eye dog be prepared to be a target for complaints. Many unfortunates have had to endure the monthly board meetings where your bad report if you are ordered to appear is aired to floor representatives who are supposed to keep it secret which never happens as within one day everyone in the building will know you were called before the board. The first amendment does not exist and even speaking badly about BT is grounds for eviction according to your CSI lease although this is a HUD supported building. If you are neat and participate in the inspections of others residences and fit in with the cliques who are elected usually by default you will love Barton Towers. But do not get sick because this is a building for independent living and any officer with a witness may enter your apartment. All residents are encouraged to file incident reports.
