Details: Sharon Manor is a beautiful well maintained residential community for seniors on Sharon Amity Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. The property was constructed in 1984 and provides independent living facilities for 39 households. The Sharon Manor community is in close proximity to Interstate 77 and many of the major roadways in Charlotte. Located only 10 minutes from uptown, the property enjoys easy access to medical facilities, churches, pharmacies, grocery centers and the Eastland Mall. Public bus service is available at the property. The facilities are age friendly and offer ground-level access to all buildings. Each dwelling has its own living room, kitchen dining area, bath and bedroom with walk-in closet. Ranges, refrigerators and carpeting are provided. A community room and coin-operated laundry are available for resident use. The buildings and grounds are maintained by an on-property staff and an office is open each morning to assist residents needs. Admission is open to an elderly person or family where the head of household or spouse is age 62 or older. Admission is also open to persons under age 62 where the head of household or spouse has a disability and needs the accommodation of a handicapped equipped unit. Rentals will be determined by family income with Secion 8 subsidies being available to individuals and families who qualify.
