Comment from Anne on 2021-05-19 18:51:27: Very old building in need of updates + only good thing is the location
Comment from SuKang on 2022-01-12 10:36:04: Ok apartment building in bad need of updating. Smells a little moldy and stale. Great location. I’m sort of freaked out. Just found out that my aunt’s friend passed away. She had Coronavirus and lived there so I will see what they are doing in the way of sanitizing the building there and repost.
Comment from Rockville resident on 2022-01-12 10:22:24: Lack of staff all the time; no handrails. Shouldn’t be billed as “assisted” Living like it is on many other sites
Comment from Su K on 2022-01-12 10:02:25: I have my mother living here. Unfortunately they are not attentive to when stuff breaks, takes forever to fix anything, and are slow to turn on the heat when it gets cold. I am not impressed at all with them. Looking to take her out of there and put her in retirement village.
Comment from SCLM on 2022-01-11 12:54:29: If I could rate zero stars I would. Bethany house is nothing more than a slumlord building. They raise the rent every few months, do not fix anything including leaks, and there’s no security for the building. A couple years ago they did not even turn the heat on until middle of December. That was ridiculous. There’s mold spots on the ceiling, problems with plumbing, very old carpeting, and elevators stay broken for weeks at a time. Also the vents are never cleaned; so disgusting.
Comment from Larry on 2024-10-03 23:18:42: This building is not just a senior affordable housing building. it also houses people who should belong in a halfway house. These are people coming from the county on either the pretrial or the reentry program. It is dangerous for those who live there.
Comment from Susan Sangkang on 2024-10-03 23:14:33: These are not just low rent subsidized apartments. Montgomery county is utilizing them as reentry apartments for their corrections department.
Comment from Henry on 2024-10-03 17:36:49: This is NOT just a building for seniors. Montgomery county dept of corrections has a pre/release program set up here. It’s getting dangerous for the seniors who have lived there for years.

Comment from Janie on 2019-04-02 18:52:25: My mom has lived here for the better part of a decade. It’s a convenient location, but the building has gone downhill. The staff has changed - for the worse - and there are parts of the building that are in disrepair. Very moldy and musty smelling. Apartments are decent in size, especially for senior living, but lack in any amenities. Other things that the building has is a salon, small gift shop, and weight/fitness room, all of which are usually closed every time I visit. The weight/fitness room is unsupervised. No laundry in individual apartments. Cable TV isn’t covered, and they may have an event or activity planned once or twice a week, but that’s it. All-in -all, I would say the best thing about that building is its location. (This is not an assisted living facility)Comment from Anne on 2021-05-19 18:51:27: Very old building in need of updates + only good thing is the location
