Details: Completed in 2005, Creekside Gardens is a permanently affordable rental community for seniors in Paso Robles, offering 29 one-bedroom, garden-style apartments in nine single-story buildings. Creekside Gardens was made possible through Peoples’ Self-Help Housing’s partnerships with the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development, the City of Paso Robles, the County of San Luis Obispo, Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, and Washington Mutual Bank. The facility includes a multi purpose building with community space for resident activities, a health screening and counseling room, and outdoor recreational areas. Details: Completed in 1991, The 40 Spanish-style apartments of Los Robles Terrace are located in Paso Robles. This 3-story complex was built to provide housing for seniors 62 and over. Funding for this development included $120,000 from the City of Paso Robles, $499,000 from the State of California, and $1.7 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A Section 8 guarantee insures that the residents will never have to pay more than 30% of their income for housing.Each of these units has its own cooking, living, and sleeping areas. All apartments have an emergency call system and an elevator is available for the residents' convenience. There are also many common areas to encourage socializing and recreation. These include a central laundry facility, TV lounge, large recreational/meeting room, and kitchen.

Details: Oak Park 1 is the first of a four-phase project totaling over 300 affordable housing units, and will replace the 148 units of deteriorated public housing units currently existing on the site. The Oak Park 1 Apartments, are an 80-unit multi-family rental housing development consisting of 8 one-bedroom apartments, 44 two-bedroom apartments, 26 three-bedroom apartments, and 2 four-bedroom apartments. Square footages of the apartments range from 755 sq. ft. to 1,581 sq. ft. The target population primarily consists of residents from the City of Paso Robles and north San Luis Obispo County who are income qualified. Families with incomes between 30 and 60 percent of area median income (AMI) are welcome to apply. 32 of the units are Section 8 project-based voucher assisted households, and 20 of the units will be provided to farmworker families. Details: Oak Park 2 is an affordable multifamily housing community consisting of 70 units including a manager’s unit. The apartment homes are comprised of one, two, three, and four-bedroom units on approximately 6 acres. The project is the second phase of a four-phase affordable housing development known as Oak Park Community Apartments located in the City of Paso Robles, County of San Luis Obispo. Oak Park 2 was completed in March of 2016. The project consists of 10 one-bedroom units, 37 two-bedroom apartments, 21 three-bedroom units, and two four-bedroom units. Square footages range from approximately 679 sq. ft. to 1,530 sq. ft. The target population primarily consists of residents from the City of Paso Robles and north San Luis Obispo County who are income qualified. One-hundred percent of the units will be rent restricted to individuals and families with incomes ranging from 30% to 60% of the County area median income. The project includes an approximate 6,200 square foot shared resident center including Paso Robles Housing Authority’s office in addition to a large soccer size recreational play area, basketball court, open space with a network of walkways, barbeque/picnic areas, and a tot lot for the children. The resident center includes a community/meeting room, a kitchen, and restroom facilities. The project site is conveniently located within a short distance to public transportation, schools, parks, Rite Aid Pharmacy, and a Smart & Final grocery store. Also located in close proximity are banks, restaurants and other services the residents can easily access. All first floor units will be fully accessible and adaptable for those individuals requiring adjustments in their units for ADA accessibility.
