Details: Description: Agape House (the House) is residential style, new construction project with 12 private one- and two-bedroom apartments and a common lounge area. The goal of the Agape House is to provide accessible, physically amenable housing, as well as coordinated supportive services. Amenities: The first of its kind in Northern Virginia, the House provides a supportive, comfortable environment, where residents are able to focus on optimizing their health and well-being. Independent living at the House is facilitated by a Supportive Housing Coordinator who works on site, linking residents with supportive services, providing counseling, and planning educational and recreational activities. Trained volunteers assist the Coordinator in carrying out the activities, and a Resident Council provides feedback to the Coordinator and management. Educational programs are offered to residents, including: local health departments, Hospice of Northern Virginia, INOVA Services, and Food and Friends. Programs also include the recreational offerings of the Fairfax County Park Authority, the Fairfax County Department of Recreation, and the services of the library.
