Ansonborough House is located at 71 Society Street in downtown Charleston, SC. It was built in 1984, and funded by Section 8-202, as a mid-rise apartment complex for seniors 62 and older who meet certain income guidelines. A six-story apartment complex, there are five floor plans with one- or two- bedroom apartments. Every unit has a full kitchen, great room, walk-in utility closet, separate bedroom & bath, and ample closet space. Located adjacent to the CASC, all 77 apartments are equipped with 24-hour emergency call button service as well as security and fire monitoring service. Ansonborough House has an in-house laundry facility and food mart, and offers recreational activities, trips and case management services.
