Comment from Lavetta Foulks on 2016-04-15 02:30:14: I am Lavetta Foulks commenting on updated info. I contacted Sadie, with new management at Halcyon House regarding their building changes. Theirresponse was that the residents will not have to leave their units for remodeling; carpet changes and painting. I can see the carpeting; however, what about painting fumes? According to management, they are suppose to have a seating area and food will be available in a designated area. I was also informed that water shut off periods will be done (during certain hours and in sections of this apartment complex) and that there will be a meeting to address the residence concerns. My father has lived in this complex for years and have experienced shady management in past; I am hoping that new management will be ethical and treat these residence like actual people; without, raising their rates. Thank you for new management for addressing your tenants concerns, looking forward to better management!

Comment from Lavetta Foulks on 2016-04-07 02:52:37: This door security/ guard complex has been taken over by new management. The residents are being out of their units, they were told by new management that the units were going under remodeling. I am concerned because my father is one of these residents that are expected to leave; without, further word of returning. They were told to remove their (residents) clothing and remove pictures off of the wall. However, the security guards were paid this previous weekend and it back to the residents (of The Halcyon House in Denver, Co) that all of the security guards checks bounced from the apartments; therefore, no one showed up to work since. I'm wondering this is the owners way of permanently removing tenants from the building; due to, foreclosure and/or with the intention of raising rents "if they are really remodeling ". The tenants are afraid because of the suspicious activities of: No door guards that walked off of job and remodeling efforts with no further notice of where they are to go- being low income. I am forwarding this to the news and am hoping that your org. investigate and update these frantic tenants.
