Comment from Lauren on 2015-02-13 03:27:33: I don't even know where to start. My husband, myself, and our 2 year old at the time lived on the 3rd floor here for 2 miserable years. Garbage was always all over the stairwells, it was a personal ash tray, there were blood stains and teeth on the stairs, cops were always there, GERMAN COCKROACH INFESTATION, maintenance takes forever to come for any issues. I personally think the office staff is scared of their own tenants. I couldn't even take my son to the pool because there was always drug deals going on. The walls are paper thin and we could hear our neighbors fighting all the time. Banging on doors and physical fights all hours of the night. We witnessed new neighbors get in a nasty physical fight outside with crow bars and tires being slashed. Pest control came like once every 6 months and did nothing about the german roaches! Looks are definitely deceiving because they keep the main office/clubhouse nice and that's about it. Garbage is always all over the roads, walkways, stairwells, and the dumpster is always over flowing. We never had friends come over because it was embarrassing and you never know when there will be another fight and cops being called. I understand this is a low income place, but that's no reason to have neighbors like this and such living conditions. We left our apartment clean and spotless and only got $143 back from our $400 deposit because of ridiculous things they charged us for! Our neighbor across the hall from us on the 3rd floor had a faulty car alarm that would go off at least 2-3x a week ALL night long. Not sure if she slept with ear plugs or what but she never heard it. We called CIS millions of times and they never came out or did anything about it. The lady would get mad after my husband would start banging on her door and waking her up to turn it off. She would have her teenage son get up and turn it off. Needless to say, it was a miserable 2 years at Lake Kathy and I am so glad we are out of there! We were such good tenants that the office staff was trying to make offers to get us to stay. Good Riddance Lake Kathy!! You get what you pay for here.
