Comment from Ms.Williams on 2016-02-23 03:36:19: I was surprise of the new owner just came in like a hurricane and raise rent for no good reason. They came with this idea about government help. Take my husband information and still they did not help my husband. $4.00 they said that is the help what they think we are in this building fools. what $4.00 can do with all those information they take . those information worth more than $4.00 understand. we end up paying the high rent, because he is making too much money common sense. The government has a lot of problems, the government hardly can come up to close his own budget. so how the hell government going to help people that is making enough money. Now tell me how smart is this? the new owner did not get to know the tenants apartments that we living or anything about the tenants. or see how things will be in a year. then that is when they should raise the rent because they see that inside some of the tenants apartment needs fixing, but just came in as a new owner and raise rent without any idea of what really needs fixing, does not make sense. Tenants live her over 10 years and more never see the rent went up so high. We live at 2475 Southern Blvd 20 years this year, we were shock to see that the new owner did not care about the tenants living here for years. all they care about is to get the money from us to pay their mortgage. why buying a building when they are depending on the tenant to pay the mortgage. while they don't care about us living here. Well we are experiencing new increase in our rent this January 1, 2016 $1724.00. the owner did not fix anything in my apartment to say they have to raise rent. We have a two bed room. Our counter top is not Marble or the cupboards and counter top right now needs fix. the counter top is falling, the sink counter top needs fix. The bath room needs a gripe. All I see the new Management doing is sending people to my apartment to take pictures of the bath room and the kitchen. The 6 floor that we live on always clean and shine no buffing of the floor since they came with their hurricane blast.every day before new management, 6 floor always clean and shine. now the floor is very dirty. The new management raise rent as soon as they get in here, well we are expecting clean and shine floor nothing less, why they raise rent and less workers, use the money to higher more people to clean the floors. raise rent less cleaning. please. this new management is a mess.
Comment from I AGREE on 2016-04-30 00:35:11: I CONCUR THAT IS $7000 EXTRA FOR THE YEAR TO PAY OFF. BASICALLY YOUR SALARY IS GOING TO PAY OFF RENT. Basically I'm seeing if you have any extra amenities car payment, cable tv put child in summer camp or take family on vacation this increase will hamper your livelyhood. Which is not fair you hard 5 or 6 days a week you are entitled to more than just paying off your rent while living basically just off of Fordham road. I'm paying downtown prices while living in south Bronx. I know it is park ave is paying more rent than me over here just trying to make a point. You make to much for sec 8 or any gov help and you know you not rich or even middle class the poor union worker that has to scuffle is the big loser with all these improvements. We may get new low quality stove, fridge and fix minor stuff as way to jack rent up I hope they don't try to parquet the front hall floors like boston garden. I would not complain except for fact were not receiving any govt love to help pay off these excessive increases.
