Shore Line Place includes 43 apartments - 32 one-bedroom homes and 11 efficiency units. One of the one-bedroom homes is barrier-free, while two of the efficiency units offer barrier-free living for people with disabilities. Eligibility for these units requires the applicant to be 18 years of age or older and have mobility impairment that requires the special features of the unit. Apartment amenities include: Wall-to-wall carpeting (in bedroom and living room); Newly remodeled kitchens with refrigerators and stoves; Individually controlled heat; Air conditioning; Window blinds; LifeLine Emergency Call System; Cable TV access. In addition, Shore Line Place offers its residents: A community room with cable TV/entertainment center; A library with two Internet-connected computers; Laundry facilities. An on-site social services coordinator who assists residents with educational, health and welfare resources. Residents must be 62 or older, or physically disabled persons 18 years or older, and meet specific income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Rent is 30 percent of the resident's adjusted annual income.
