The adaptive design of Somerset Villas and our Resident Services Program aims to provide a supportive environment to accommodate the needs of our residents. Our objective is to link our residents to services available in the community and region to reduce the incidence of premature institutionalization and provide support as they age in their community with dignity. A monthly calendar of activities is developed by the Resident Services Coordinator to keep residents engaged in social activities, connect them to service providers and provide health screenings. This development was made possible with funding from HUD’s Section 202 Program, William Penn Foundation and the W.W. Smith Foundation.
