Comment from Loretta Garber on 2022-01-12 10:15:58: Application turned in 2020 was told number on list at that time checked back in December and was told a closer number now checked back and being told that there is a waiting list from 2018 -2019. When application was turned in 2020 nothing was ever told about a waiting list from 2018-2019 but was told it was a waiting list for 6 months to a year. That year is just about up and still have heard nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I soon learned 2 families in my section were problems. One family parties often, have many overnight guests regularly and drugs are involved. It's an open house. They take over and dare anyone to complain. Police are called often but the Management seems to be blind to the trouble. Complaints go unanswered and people are uncomfortable to say the least. The other has different issues but similar disregard for rules and love to stir up trouble. This is a senior community and that type of crap isn't at all what we need. We have asked for help but none has been given. This place needs an help NOW.

They can't keep a maintenance man, walks are seldom shoveled during times of snow, the manager tells you what you want to her but does little to solve problems. Tenant requests and problems are ignored.The place is getting run down and they don't care about what goes on around the complex. Problems are awful from what I hear. Get your act together or sell the place to someone who cares, Mr. Moore! jmoore@metrprop.org

Comment from danielle handy on 2018-12-17 19:00:41: I am a CNA and a I take care of an elderly man that lives at A Porter Haven in Vinton, Va. We got snow on 12-8-18 of 15in. I go there today on 12-10-18 and I could not even get passed the entrance because whoever came only shoveled one path. Not even wide enough for any car to go in or out. I had to back up and call him to tell him I could not make it. Luckily, he is able to do some things himself and had food to fix and eat for the day. I think its pretty pathetic that as a senior citizen living community, that the owners can't pay people to properly shovel the parking lot and sidewalks for these people.
