Details: Leisure Park Towers was established in 1979 to provide quality low income housing for the elderly and disabled through the Section 8 Program (rent based on income). We are a 150 unit, high-rise building located in the heart of Bristol, VA. The property consists of 141 one-bedroom units and 9 two-bedroom units of which 18 are retrofitted for disabled residents. The management staff includes: a Manager, Assistant manager, on-site Night Manager, and Maintenance Technicians. Unit amenities include: refrigerator, range, HVAC, water heater, emergency cords in the bedroom and bath and monitored smoke detectors in each unit. Building amenities include: On-Site Laundry Room, Multi-Purpose Room for resident activities and private use; Game Room with large screen TV, Telesensory Machine for those residents who need visual assistance; a Waiting Room; and Keyed Entry System after 7:00 p.m. City Bus service is available from Piedmont Avenue entrance of the building. Bus Tokens are available to the residents who do not have transportation. The building is within walking distance of the Public Library and the downtown area. Resident activities: Bingo every Monday evening, Pot Luck twice a month, Prayer Meeting bi-weekly on Thursday evening, and Produce on-site every Thursday.
