Property Description:: The Housing Authority manages 224 housing units for migrant farm workers in Empire (94 units), Patterson (42 units) and Westley (88 units) the units are owned by the State of California and Office of Migrant Services. These units are occupied six months out of the year, from May through October. Migrant farm worker families who want to rent a unit in Empire, Patterson or Westley should contact the appropriate center for information regarding eligibility. The State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development, Office of Migrant Services subsidizes the cost of managing and maintaining both centers. All units are furnished with stove, refrigerator, beds, kitchen table, chairs and the rent includes utilities.
