Details: The Ash Meadows development includes permanent rental duplexes and single-family homes. There are 18 units of rental housing and 13 single-family homes, all two and three bedroom units. These units are available for persons at or below 50 and 60 percent of area median income. The 6-acre site also includes a new public road and two acres of restored wetlands with on-site storm water retention. The rental units incorporate the following green building techniques: radiant floor heating, on-demand water heaters, recycled cotton insulation, and recycled decorative glass. All units have washers and dryers. Community amenities include a basketball court, BBQ, and playground. The project also includes a cooperative effort with two other non-profits for the lease-to-own portion of the development.

Details: The Aster Apartments is a HUD-202 project, providing affordable housing to low-income seniors. The project consists of 54 one bedroom units, 1 two bedroom manager’s unit, and shared community spaces organized in a three-story, L-shaped building. The wings of the building house residential units joined together by a central lobby and ground floor community gathering spaces. The units have an open design and bathrooms and kitchens are organized to facilitate “aging in place” with sufficient room for wheelchair access and features such as grab bars, removable base cabinetry, lever controlled faucets and door hardware throughout. An emergency call system serves each unit. The building also features a vehicular drop-off in front, to allow for convenient and safe passenger loading and unloading. All parking and walkways throughout the site are well-lit, visually open, and accessible to all residents and their guests. In addition, an array of services will be provided to residents of Aster Apartments specifically designed to assist seniors and the disabled to remain vital, engaged, and independent for a longer period of time. The services focus on both educational opportunities and opportunities for tenants to increase connectivity with the community at large.

Details: This project was completed in two phases. Bluebelle I included the development of a public road and 10 units of rental townhouses. Bluebelle II was an in-fill lot that was subdivided into 7 lots. The original house on the lot was moved and rehabilitated and 6 new homes were built, for a total of 7 homes. Three of these homes are used for transitional housing and the remaining 4 houses are lease-to-own housing. Solar water heating systems are included in all the rental housing. Rents are affordable for persons at or below 50 percent of area median.

Details: The Myrtlewood is a 4-story building consisting of 35 one-bedroom units located in Springfield, OR. The units are affordable for households earning 50% or less of area median income. Four units are targets for developmentally disabled individuals who are clients of Mainstream Housing and four units are for households who have either serious mental illness (SMI), intellectual disability (ID), or developmental disability (DD).
