Conveniently located on the CDTA bus line, Townsend Park Homes is minutes away from downtown Albany, the major shopping malls and supermarkets: ShopRite, Price Chopper and Hannaford. A free shuttle bus picks up residents weekly for their grocery shopping at Price Chopper. There are onsite laundry facilities and a computer lab. Details: Westview Homes is a 182 unit senior/disabled high rise apartment building, consisting of studio and one-bedroom apartments, located in a residential neighborhood on Central Ave. We are on the CDTA bus lines conveniently located near Westgate Mall, Northway Mall, Colonie Center and the major supermarkets: ShopRite, PriceChopper, and Hannaford. A free shuttle bus picks up residents weekly for their grocery shopping at PriceChopper and Hannaford. Blessed Sacrament Church is within walking distance for food pantry, thrift shop and religious services. Westview also offers onsite laundry facilities and a computer lab. In recent years Westview Homes has undergone renovations to the elevator system, remodeling of the main lobby and upper hallways, new window installation in all apartments, the building heating system was converted from electric to gas and the patio was remodeled. Details: Whitehall Court Senior Apartments consists of seventy-two (72) one and two bedroom units of housing for elderly residents. The apartment homes have been designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. The community is available exclusively to seniors, defined as households headed by a person 62 years of age or older. Rents for these apartment homes include heat and hot water. Electric is paid separately by the resident and is estimated to be $51/month for the 1 bedroom apartment and $68/month for the 2 bedroom apartment. The building is a single, two-story, vinyl siding/brick veneer, elevator- equipped building. Each apartment is built on a single level and consists of approximately 650 square feet for one bedroom and 825 square feet for two bedroom units. Handicapped access is available throughout all of the building and a number of units are designated so they can be readily equipped to accommodate handicapped residents. Each unit includes a living room, dining area, kitchen, one or two bedrooms, and a bathroom with shower or a tub/shower combination, along with interior storage space. Other amenities available include central wiring for cable television, resident storage areas, wall-to-wall carpeting, and an electronic door security system. An emergency call system is included in each apartment. An onsite laundry facility, a community room and an exercise area are located throughout the building.
