Common areas and a library “cove” offer gathering space, making this a welcoming community. A serene landscaped yard wraps the building, with the quarry off in the distance. The building was an important preservation project; affordable units were are risk of becoming market-rate when HCP was able to step in, with the support of the Rockport community, to purchase the facility ensuring its affordability. Several significant updates were made at that time, including the addition of an elevator. |

HCP preserved the affordability of the apartment building in 2013, with the support of the Town of Rockport Community Preservation Committee and others. Significant updates were made to the building at that time to both the interior and exterior of the building. |
