Details: Countryside Village Apartments in Marlborough, Massachusetts, is a beautifully landscaped property that sits back from the historic Boston Post Road, which began as a postal route between New York City and Boston. Some stretches are considered so significant they have been placed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Perhaps just as important to Countryside residents is the easy access the road provides to major highways, including Routes 495, 290, 20 and the Massachusetts Turnpike. Countryside has 118 apartments, of which 117 are affordable and one is market-rate. There are 12 one-bedroom apartments, 52 two-bedroom apartments, and 54 three-bedroom apartments. There is a laundry room in each building. Residents are allowed one cat per household; only service dogs are allowed. Amenities include a regulation size basketball court, a playground, and picnic and grilling areas. Countryside offers a community center staffed by a full-time Residence Services Coordinator. Marlborough housing prices have increased dramatically over the past 30 years, with lots of newly built, expensive homes. Nearly all of the affordable housing that is offered in Marlborough is found at Countryside Village. Located on the Metro West transit service bus line, Marlborough serves as a business center, providing a multitude of employment opportunities. Residents enjoy the many restaurants, shops and cultural events of the city as well as nearby shopping malls. They also enjoy the three large lakes in the city - Lake Williams, Millham Reservoir, and Fort Meadow Reservoir - and the Assabet River, which provide lovely panoramas.
