Occupancy is limited to persons age 62 or older, or disabled. There are 56 apartments at GreenTrees, 30 of them are fully subsidized meaning the tenant pays 30% of income for rent. The remaining 26 units have a rent of 30% of a person’s income or the base rent, whichever is greater. The current base rent is $375.00. This reduced rent is possible because the Housing Authority has a low interest mortgage from Rural Development, which is a division of the Department of Agriculture. |
