Location: Kamuela, HI - 96743 Contact Phone: (808) 885-4423 Details: Waimea Elderly Housing is an elderly independent living complex conveniently located in the town of Waimea next to the fire and police stations. The site is within short distance to shopping complexes, banks and community services. At an elevation of 2,669 feet above sea level, Waimea is generally cool all year around. The project is comprised of nine one-story walkup apartment buildings with a combined total of 40 units. Thirty-nine units are one-bedroom/one-bath with approximately 528 sq. ft. of living space. One two-bedroom/one-bath unit is reserved for on-site staff. All units have carpeted living areas with vinyl tile floors in the kitchen and bath areas. Kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator and electric range. Bathrooms are equipped with a basin, water closet and tub/shower combination. The property has on-site laundry, a resident manager’s office and a community center for tenant functions. Thirty-nine of the units are subsidized through a HUD Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC). A non-revenue unit is occupied by the on-site resident manager. |
