Farm Worker Village

Location: Immokalee, FL - 34142 Contact Phone: (239) 657-3649 Details: Farm Worker Housing Rental Assistance (RA), is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and administered by Housing Authority. The program allows qualified applicants to rent housing while maintaining rent payments that they can afford. RA is issued to participants in the amounts based upon composition of income and family size. Participants must live in approved USDA-RD housing communities. As with any renter, participants may be screened by the Housing Authority, and are responsible for security deposits and enter into a formal lease agreement. Participants are responsible for paying a predetermined portion of their rent directly to the Housing Authority. Generally, participants are required to pay 30% of their adjusted income toward rent. Participants are not permitted to pay more than 40% of their adjusted income toward rent. The USDA-RD pays the remainder of the rent directly to the CCHA each month in the form of a Rental Assistance Payment (RA). Rental Assistance subsidy is not transferrable to other Farm Worker Housing complexes. |
