Location: Roxbury, CT - 06783 Contact Phone: (860) 355-3017 Details: Bernhardt Meadow is a housing facility for the elderly. Households must have a head or co-head aged 62 years of age or older to be eligible for this housing community. There are six residential buildings, each with three one-bedroom units cottage style. Each unit has two entrances and an attached garage. There are two accessible units with other units adaptable. The approximate size of a unit is 600 square feet. There is parking for one car per unit plus visitors and enclosed garages. The facility is owned by Roxbury Senior Housing, Inc., a nonprofit organization and sponsored by New Samaritan. Corporation. The facility is financed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and as such follows the regulations of that Agency. A project rental assistance contract with the federal government provides that the rent for each Resident will be calculated at 30% of household adjusted income from all sources. All apartments include: A full kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator; Full bathroom with tub or shower; Individual thermostat controls; Window Coverings (blinds or curtain rods); Cable television outlets; Emergency call system; Hard-wired smoke detectors; Some units are fully accessible; All units have attached garages; All units have washer/dryer hook-ups; Part-time Resident Services Coordinator. |
