Details: Since 2007, the Yampa Valley Housing Authority has owned and managed the Hillside Village Apartments complex on Tamarac Drive. The complex, which includes 35 two bedroom and 20 one bedroom apartments, targets low-income residents and consistently has a waitlist. Hillside Village is on the bus route and has: A playground with BBQ area; A basketball court; 2 laundry facilities; A community deck with grill; Community events. Since USDA-Rural Development finances the project, YVHA is required to verify that each household has sufficient income to pay the basic rent. Subsidies are applied to households that qualify based on income. There are currently 36 units with a rental subsidy.
