Details: This building was named after Albert Pike- A confederate military officer. He was also an attorney, writer, and Freemason. Also, a judge of the Arkansas Supreme Court. The hotel was built in 1929. Functioned as a hotel unit December 1971, when the Second Baptist Church assumed ownership: purpose was to provide a family retirement community that was happy and uplifting. In 1976 the hotel received a Section 231 loan from HUD. National Register of Historic Places by US Dept. of the Interior in 1978. We here at Albert Pike Residence Hotel are excited about the positive changes we are making to our community. Albert Pike Residence Hotel is a 130 unit multi-family, independent living, housing community providing rental assistance for the elderly (62 years and older) and people with disabilities through the HUD Project-based Section 8 and the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs. We offer 76(0) efficiency/studio bedrooms, 51- 1 bedroom, and 3- 2 bedroom units. Maximum occupancy limits are two (2) person per bedroom.

Details: Armistead Village is an 17-unit independent living apartment complex located in West Little Rock. The complex consists of one-bedroom apartments, of which two are wheelchair accessible. One apartment is modified to accommodate a hearing or visually impaired resident. Each unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room and spacious closets. There is a laundry room on site. There is a community room with overstuffed couches, a large screen television, and game tables. Details: The UCP Community Living Arrangement (CLA) is a 15 bed residential facility which provides twenty-four hour care. The facility is designed to provide services to those individuals who require constant supervision and assistance. The ultimate goal is for CLA participant to transition to the Alternative Community Services (ACS) program so they can have a place of their own. However, a transition is based on the total needs of each individual and no resident will be transitioned out of the facility unless it is their decision or unless the needs of the individual can no longer be met by CLA. Residents attend the day program at UCP’s Little Rock Adult Center and speech, occupational and physical therapy is available if needed. Nursing services are provided and all medical care is coordinated through the nursing staff and primary care physicians. Staff provides instruction and assistance to aid each resident in achieving an increased level of independence. Family members and/or advocates are considered part of the treatment team and are integral to the development of the resident’s plan of care. The CLA program is monitored and licensed annually by the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care.

Details: The Moore Building is home to 200 HUD-subsidized apartments. A delicious and nutritious noon meal is served six days a week. There are coin laundries on each floor, convenient parking, beauty salon, library, billiards room, and meeting areas to visit with friends. Our Wellness Center is also housed in the Moore Building offering supervised exercise programs, speakers and regularly scheduled outings. Fully accessible apartments for persons with disabilities are also available. The noon meal is also a social time where our residents often come early and stay late to visit with the other residents. Applicants must be 62 or older (or younger if disabled by definition).
