Details: Locust Heights Apartments is Public Housing. Applicant's income must meet income limits and other tenants selection criteria. Our mission is to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing for low-income families to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility, and to provide families with the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing. Handicap Units: Locust Heights has four units designated as handicap apartments; they are 100% handicap friendly. The bathroom and bedroom has emergency call switches. There is easy access to the kitchen, bathroom sinks, thermostat and light switches. The bath area in these units have a built in seat in the roll-in shower stall with a hand held shower head. Apartment Size and Rents: Rent is based on income, so rent could be anywhere from $50 up to the flat rent.
