Details: Named after the Canadian hometown of the Connor Family, Stratford is located in the southwest portion of Marathon County and is the home to Donald Sykes Villa. The Villa consists of 20 one-bedroom apartments including a kitchen, living room/dining room combination, and bathroom. This building also includes a community room with kitchen facilities, a laundry room, has garages available for rent, and a service coordinator available for residents. Service coordinators assist residents in identifying, locating and acquiring the services necessary for them to remain self-reliant and age in place in their own homes. Service coordinators provide assistance and access to community-based supports and resources for individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence. Highlander Development Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Impact Seven, Inc., opened this building designated for the elderly in 2002. Income eligible residents pay electricity and rent is based on 30% of their adjusted income. Heat, water, sewer, and trash removal are paid for by the owner.
