Comment from Ana Rodriguez on 2022-04-12 11:42:26: I have been trying to give a review on this apt complex, owned by accessible space company, since I lived there for 3yrs. The company itself will fool you, at first, your slightly excited, because you think, wow I'm going to be with another great company, and property manager, because I was already with one, Life Style. Life Style is a great property mgmt team and its property manager, Meghan was just at the top of her profession, and well, in renting you should never compare, you have your highs and lows in apts, buildings and people who run them and own them. Life Style has really been the very best. The tenets at Prairie Sky apts, told me to watch out for this and watch out for that, and ask if my apt was clean, when I moved in, because non if theirs were. They don't give this information to the property owners, but they share it with the other tenants and so called newbies just moving in. Keeping in mind, they are seniors, elderly and disabled and very grumpy, but sweet at times and each senior and disabled building you move to and fro from, you need to adjust your own character and personality to fit in, and restart your avoidance tactics, so you yourself won't have problems. Well, I had some, kept quite about it, till they came to my door. There was a resident, who still lives there, for 16yrs now, who has very strong mental problems, and who shouts, screams and acts like he is the building patrol officer and tells at you, when he finds out you need an ambulance or law enforcement. I needed the ambulance service 3 times, law enforcement came twice, for reasons outside of apt complexes problems. It was family crisis in another state. I'm widowed, lost one of my daughters and both my grandchildren and my two brothers. I have one child left, whom I presently live with. Anyway when he saw it was me whose door they knocked on, he wanted to know what it was about, and wouldn't leave. I had to be strong a d tell him to just leave, which I don't at all like being rude. When they left, he knocked very hard on the door and started yelling at me, that I personally have no right to call 911, that the police and fire dept, told him, he was the only emergency cont9for the entire building and I will need to go through him in the future and tell him what I need 911 assistance for, and he will decide the severity of my so called emergency and call them, but I can never call them on my own, because they don't like 911 calls!! I said, thank you and get lost in a nice way and slammed my door in his face, so he would do catch up, with the meaning behind it. I really wasn't feeling very neighborly and still am not. I don't do neighborly, I like to remain by myself, mind my business, read, study, write, pray, clean, try exercising, anything to keep the mind functioning, puzzles, video games,do and study things that I would not normally pay any attention too. Like plumbing, electricity, home inspection things I do need to know, for in case of an emergency, but for no other reason and only for myself. Now, the manager of the building us Travis, not a bad person, does take care of the building, has his faults, not very honest, but a good guy all the same. Unfortunately, he has his favorites in the building, he dud tell a fib about me, which almost cost me not receiving my security deposit back and he damn well knew he lied. So. I had to fight fire with fire. I called the property mgmt and told them the truth, which they didn't want to listen too. And they played mind games, just like when I reported the individual who yelled at me and my daughter, for dropping me off in the front entrance, with packages, and he caused me to drop them and continued to yell at me. And wouldn't allow me to pick up my packages, because I wasn't, according to him, doing anything right. I would have clammed down first, before making the call, but I'd had enough of him and other things, so I called and yelled, the individual took it as a personal affront, which I couldn't believe. You think your dealing with an adult, whose working with a well established property mgmt co, and it's an asskisser, whose main purpose is to make it about themselves. I became even more angry, she must have had a crush on the company attorney, because I received a call from him, nearly accusing me of everything. All in all. It's not a very company, but they own most of the buildings for seniors and the disabled within Minnesota and other states, not really all that professional either. They do have residents that complain about the buildings, but won't complain to the company, there were other things as well. The manager allowed prostitutes in the building, two of the tenants who are disabled had prostitutes visit and stay with them, they would come at 2am, 3am, they bang on my window to be let in. When the neighbor who would hear the knock, would come out and let me know it was for him. It was either, his physical therapist, his daughter, his church friend for prayer, etc. Always the same sky clad dressed black young woman and then a young white woman, but everyone knew who they were and said they were his supposed girlfriends. Who he met at a bar. He was still an alcoholic, as were other residents. And even though alcohol is not permitted or firearms, they are there, living with the residents and there were other problems, one resident was a thief and you had to be at the mailbox, spend time there, if awaiting packages. And he cleaned his nose on the elevator and walls, then there is the dirtiest laundry room and washers and dryers, they definitely need new ones and more of them and someone to keep them clean. Now you have my side of their problems, they are dishonest.
