Details: St. Anne’s Housing for the Elderly offers 30 efficiency apartments on two floors in our north wing. These are open to individuals with limited income who are 62 or older or disabled. Rent is based on adjusted monthly income and the rest of the expense is subsidized by the federal government’s Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program. Persons of all creeds, ethnic backgrounds and races are welcome. A financial review and income verification is required for eligibility and rent assistance. The units have temperature controls, kitchenettes, private baths, emergency call switches, and spacious closet and storage space. The units are unfurnished so that residents may bring familiar belongings. There are laundry facilities on the second floor and a beautiful spacious lounge on the first floor. The building has fire resistant construction throughout, with smoke alarms in each unit and an automatic sprinkler system. Parking space is available to those with cars. There is staff on duty 24 hours a day (in the Basic Care wing) to ensure the safety of each resident. Apartment residents are invited to take part in activities offered at St. Anne’s at no additional charge. They may also purchase such extra services as nursing assistance and meals in the main dining room. Laundry and housekeeping services may also be purchased.
