Details: Since opening its doors in 1978, Frontier Estates was designed to be an independent living apartment facility for low income senior citizens. Residents enjoy a variety of services that meet their needs. There are activities, services, and programs to enrich and enhance the lives of residents. Residents live in an atmosphere of dignity and have the freedom to maintain their independence and personal lifestyle. Frontier Estates is owned and operated by Abilene Housing, Inc., a non-profit corporation managed by Memorial Health System in Abilene. Funding is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Maintaining the privacy and security of residents is a priority at Frontier Estates. Guests are asked to register when they arrive and the combination door is locked at 5:00 p.m. daily.

1. Dogs. Maximum number - one (1) each; maximum weight - 30 pounds; must be housebroken; must be spayed or neutered; must have all required inoculations; must be licensed as specified now or in the future by State and local ordinance. 2. Cats. Maximum number - one (1) each; must be de-clawed; must be spayed or neutered; must have all required inoculations; must be trained to use a litter box or other waste receptacle; must be licensed as specified now or in the future by State law or local ordinance.3. Birds. Maximum number - two (2) each; must be enclosed inside a cage at all times. 4. Fish Maximum aquarium size - 20 gallons; must be maintained on approved stand.
