Details: Council Groves Apartments is a low-income housing community with one, two, three and four bedroom units. We provide high-quality housing and offer residents membership in the Council Groves community through events and classes in our Community Room and Computer Lab. The Computer Lab has been completely updated through a generous grant from the HDR Foundation. The Lab supports residents’ educational and professional goals. In the summer months, we partner with Missoula Food Bank as a host site to deliver free Kids Table lunches for resident and neighborhood children. Council Groves Apartments is a project-based section 8 apartment complex and 501(C)(3) nonprofit, under professional management by Tamarack Property Management Co. We house by date of application, screen for income eligibility, and for criminal and credit history. All adult applicants must provide a complete housing history for the past three years. Average time spent on Council Groves' waiting list for two, three, and four-bedroom units is currently one to three years. The apartments are open to all persons 62 years of age or older who are mentally and physically able to take care of their own needs. As most people have their own favorite furniture, apartments at Missoula Manor Homes are unfurnished; however, the apartments do have vertical blinds and wall-to-wall carpeting. All apartments include individual baths, roomy closets, and kitchenettes equipped with a two-burner range, refrigerator and sink. Every apartment is wired for private phone and cable TV, if you wish to subscribe to them. Each apartment has its own thermostat so the tenant can regulate the heat and air-conditioning. Details: River Ridge is a beautiful senior community located just off Mullan Road near Reserve Street at 2840 Santa Fe Court. The 70-unit complex has three stories with 57 one-bedroom and 13 two-bedroom apartments. There are two elevators, laundry rooms on all three floors, a beautiful community room for resident activities, and an additional common area for gathering on each floor. Bus service comes directly to the front door. In 2016, River Ridge underwent a complete interior and exterior renovation, with additional improvements to the grounds. During the rehabilitation project, River Ridge was able to achieve large gains in energy efficiency through building envelope improvements (new windows and doors, building sheathing and membrane replacement, and added insulation), and systemic upgrades (new high-efficiency boilers, water heaters, LED light fixtures and elevators). Apartments received new flooring and paint, kitchens with new countertops, appliances, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and all new bathroom fixtures including the addition of 25 walk-in showers, and air conditioning. While most of the units at the Silvertip are designated for households who make 80% or less of the Missoula Area Median Income (AMI), we do have a limited number of units for households who earn up to 120% of the Missoula Area Median Income (AMI).
