Details: Located in the West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine, 100 State Street offers affordable smoke-free housing in a downtown setting within sight of Portland's historic and scenic waterfront. Our one- and two-bedroom apartments feature wall-to-wall carpeting, air conditioning, ample closets, elevators, and fully applianced kitchens. All utilities (heat, hot water, and electricity) are included in the rent. The building has an intercom-controlled entrance for your visitors and deliveries. The community also offers many amenities: a beauty salon, laundry facilities, grocery store, 24-hour emergency maintenance, community auditorium, billiard room, solarium, library (both on-site video and book libraries, plus monthly visits from Portland Public Library Outreach), on-site management, easy access to public transportation, and a beautiful courtyard for various activities and events. 100 State Street is centrally located in downtown Portland, with a wide range of great shopping, restaurants and hospitals available conveniently nearby. While Portland is known for its great walkability, it is also easy to take advantage of the METRO bus system, as we have a sheltered bus stop located directly in front of our property. Residents are also welcome to sign up for weekly bus trips to local grocery shopping centers with RTP. This property has a smoke-free policy - no smoking is allowed in the building.

Details: The Brackett Street Residence serves six adult men with substance abuse disorders and a history of involvement with the criminal justice system with 24-hour staffing on site, 365 days a year. Clients are encouraged to cope with the challenges of everyday living with increased independence by developing daily living skills, obtaining education regarding mental illness and improving and learning how to manage symptoms with an individual treatment plan. Participants may stay for up to two years. Brackett Street provides treatment in a safe home environment, and meets clients where they are, by supporting them through a non-linear program of recovery.

Details: Congress Square, located in Portland, ME, offers studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units (some accessible units are available). It is a site-based section 8 and an affordable property with income restrictions. Rent is calculated at 30% of total Household income. The Eligibility program requirements are for the Elderly (62) and people with disabilities. It is a Smoke-Free building. Heat, water and electric are included. A/C’s need to be provided by the resident and will be installed by management only during the summer months June 1st – Sept 30th, at an additional surcharge of $15.00 per month, per a/c unit. One pet is allowed per unit with a pet deposit: Cat or Dog (dogs under 45 pounds), Birds, rodents or turtles are limited to one cage, fish are limited to a ten gallon tank. Congress Square has a fulltime Resident Service Coordinator and a computer lab center. There is an onsite laundry (7) washers – $1.50 ($2.00 for the (2 ) larger washers), (10) dryers – $1.50. The laundry room has a TV and wireless internet in the laundry room, lobby and library is available. Also a large community room on our 6th floor. Parking is not included as part of resident leases, there is a limited amount of spaces available. The building is an access secure building with security patrols conducted after hours and on the weekends.

Details: The Park Danforth is proud to offer an array of housing options, including 70 apartments that offer Section 8 rental assistance to those 62 and older, as well as to those under the age of 62 with mobility and other disablities that can be supported by the special design features of certain apartments. Those applying for these Section 8 apartments will be age-eligible and have incomes that meet certain federal guidelines. Apartment Features: Both 1 bedroom and studios apartments available; Full size kitchen appliances; Utilities included (except phone, internet & cable); Free parking & snow removal; Maintenance. The campus is located on two main METRO routes (Forest Avenue and Stevens Avenue), and features the Main Dining Room and the Bistro. Residents may shop for a limited supply of groceries and household items in our resident store, the "Main Street Market", access hair and nail services in the salon, enjoy a movie in the theater, or spend time in one of our many outdoor areas including the Rooftop Deck. For those who need a bit of extra support, housekeeping and personal support services are available.
