Cox Manor can also help you avoid the high cost of upkeep that you may be facing on the home you currently own. This is an independent living community designed specifically for retirement living. Our residents take care of their individual needs, but become part of a caring community of friends and neighbors. Monthly Rent is 30 percent of your average adjusted monthly gross income. The formula for rent allows you to deduct medical expenses in order to arrive at the adjusted gross income figure. Electricity, telephone and cable TV are not included as part of your rent, however, you will receive a monthly deduction from the basic rent to be applied to your electric bill. The amount is adjusted periodically. Water, sewer and garbage pick-up are included in the rent. Kitchen appliances and wall-to-wall carpeting are provided with each apartment, otherwise residents must supply their own furnishings.
