Details: Kea’au Elderly Housing is an elderly independent living complex located on the outskirts of Kea’au Town. The site is within short distance to a shopping complex, banking, health clinic, police and fire stations and the County of Hawaii’s Coordinated Services senior community center. The project is comprised of four one-story apartment buildings with a combined total of 20 units. Nineteen units are one-bedroom/one-bath with approximately 594 sq. ft. of living space. A Resident Manager lives at the site. All units have vinyl tile floors, front and back lanais and emergency “pull” bells. Kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator and an electric range. Bathrooms are equipped with a basin, water closet and tub/shower combination. The property has an on-site laundry facility, a site Office, a community room for tenant functions and planter boxes throughout the premises for tenant use. One of the units is ADA-accessible. Nineteen of the units are subsidized through a HUD Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC).
