Details: Wintergreen is a 20 unit community located in Harwinton, Connecticut. It is a cottage style community with four buildings. Each home has its own front entrance. Wintergreen is owned by the Harwinton Housing Authority which operates under the auspices of the Town of Harwinton. The community if funded by the USDA Rural Development office and as such the community does provide rental assistance for some of the units. The USDA-RD 515 program for the elderly is open to residents whose head or co-head is aged 62 or older or has a disability. Some resident amenities include a large community area with full kitchen for resident activities, a coin operated laundry room and numerous outside recreational areas. All apartments include: A full kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator; Full bathroom with tub or shower; Individual thermostat controls; Cable television outletp; Emergency pull cords; Hard-wired smoke detectors; Some units are fully accessible
